Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
tripvue is a service of Alignix LLC (“Alignix,” “we,” “us”), an independent tool for NYC rideshare drivers. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it, in plain language. Questions? Email hello@tripvue.ai.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email address and basic account identifiers so you can access your account.
- Location. The map can use your device location to center the map and find your current zone. When you submit a report or a location-based signal, we use your device location at that moment to confirm you are near the place (within about 150 meters) and to prevent abuse. We do not continuously track you and we do not store a history of where you have been — what we keep is which place you reported on and your report, not a trail of your locations.
- Reports, ratings, and notes. If you report a place’s status (for example, a restroom), we store the report along with a one-way hashed identifier so the same driver isn’t counted twice and can undo their own report. Reports are shown without your name attached.
- Spot signals. If you share that a curb spot is opening up (the optional Spot feature), we store the spot’s location and timing together with a one-way hashed identifier — shown to other drivers without your name. Spot signals expire automatically; we do not keep them as a history of where you park.
- Safety acknowledgment. If we show a “do not use while driving” acknowledgment, we keep a record that you acknowledged it — the time, the context, and your browser or device type — as a safety and compliance record.
- Trip and earnings data. If you use the earnings tracker (a planned feature), we store the trips you log — date, pickup zone, fare, any bonus amount you enter, and your notes — so we can show you your own monthly totals and your return on the subscription.
- Expansion requests. If you tell us which city you’d like tripvue to go to next, we store that submission so we know which cities drivers are asking for.
- Payment information. When paid plans begin, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data on secure, PCI-compliant systems.
- Referral and promotional codes. If you use a referral or promotional code, we and Stripe record that code with your subscription to apply any credit and to attribute the referral.
- Usage analytics. We may use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand, in aggregate, which features drivers use, so we can improve the app. This is about feature usage, not advertising, and is not tied to your name.
- Technical and security logs. Our hosting and error-tracking systems may log basic technical data, such as IP address and browser type, to keep your account secure and the service reliable.
- Preferences. We store your language choice in a cookie so the app stays in your language.
Location is sensitive information. We use it only to operate the map and the features you choose to use — never for advertising or continuous tracking.
If you install a future tripvue mobile app, your device may ask your permission for location, motion, and notifications. You control these in your device settings, and we use them only for the features you turn on.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the app (the demand map and amenity layers).
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Process subscriptions and billing (when paid plans begin).
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse.
- Comply with law.
tripvue and its service providers process data in the United States.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with the service providers that help us run tripvue:
- Clerk — authentication.
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
- DigitalOcean — hosting.
- Sentry — error and crash reporting. We configure Sentry to capture errors only (no session recording or performance tracing), and we automatically remove personal details such as your email, account ID, IP address, and location coordinates before any error report is sent.
- Product analytics and notifications (if used) — if we use a product-analytics provider, it helps us understand aggregate feature usage; if we add notifications or a mobile app, a notification provider helps deliver them. We will keep this list current as tripvue grows.
We may disclose information if required by law. We may add or change service providers as tripvue grows; updates appear in this policy.
Location data and improving our models
When you submit a report or signal, we associate it with a pseudonymous identifier (a one-way hashed value), not your name, and we do not keep a trail of your movements. Over time we may compare predicted demand to what actually happened, and study aggregate driver activity, to improve our models. We use de-identified and aggregated data for this.
We will not use your location or other personal data for a new purpose — including any aggregate data product offered to businesses — without updating this policy and, where required, obtaining your consent.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in and session, and a cookie to remember your language. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep data
- Account information is kept while your account is active and is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of an account-deletion request.
- Trip and earnings data you log are kept while your account is active and are deleted with your account.
- Reports, ratings, and notes are kept as part of a shared, anonymous community history. If you delete your account, we remove the internal hashed link between you and those reports; aggregated and anonymized report data may be retained.
- Spot signals expire automatically a short time after you share them and are not kept as a location history.
- Safety-acknowledgment records (that you confirmed the “do not use while driving” notice) are kept as a compliance record.
- Technical and security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
- Payment records are kept by Stripe on its own schedule, and by us only as needed for tax and accounting.
Security and breach notification
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on reputable providers (Clerk, Stripe, DigitalOcean, Sentry). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities without unreasonable delay, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act and other applicable law.
Your privacy rights (including California)
Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to know what we collect and why, to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How to make a privacy request
To access, correct, or delete your data, email hello@tripvue.ai. We will acknowledge your request within 10 days and aim to complete it within 45 days, and we may ask you to verify your identity. Deleting your account removes your account information, any trips you logged, and the internal link between you and any reports you submitted. You can also cancel a paid subscription anytime (see the Terms of Service).
Children
tripvue is for licensed adult drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18.
